Job Description
Purpose and Job Summary: ORIX USA's Infrastructure and Public Finance Group seeks an Associate with 3-5 years of experience. This investment professional will be integral to the team, responsible for credit underwriting, strategic initiatives, portfolio management, and new business origination.
IPF is an innovative, flexible source of private credit for Infrastructure and Social Infrastructure borrowers. Our strategy invests in both taxable and tax-exempt projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Evaluate and underwrite private credit investment opportunities
Communicate regularly with outside business partners, clients, and others
Screen new opportunities sourced by the IPF Origination team
Assist in due diligence, structuring, and closing of new investments
Participate in drafting of credit applications and associated approval documentation
Assist in monitoring for compliance and analyzing key performance and industry indicators
Build and maintain financial models for transactions
Work as part of a team to develop independent and fact-based investment recommendations
Some travel may be required
Education, Skills and Experience: 3+ years of debt investing or investment banking expertise
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Sound business judgment and decision making abilities
Solid organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines
Collaborative attitude willing to assist a high-performance team
Ability to adjust priorities in a rapidly changing environment
Required: Bachelor's degree from accredited four-year university in finance, economics, or related field required
Preferred: Master's degree from accredited university, CPA, or CFA beneficial but not required
