Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD Designer with a strong background in civil design or landscape architecture to join our team. This role is essential in shaping high-quality land development and commercial design-build projects, including creative commercial landscapes such as neighborhood entrances, amenity centers, and common areas. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AutoCAD, a solid understanding of plant materials, and the ability to translate design concepts into detailed, functional plans. While this position primarily involves in-office design work, occasional site visits will be required to refine designs based on real-world conditions.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop detailed AutoCAD designs for commercial and land development projects (3D proficiency not required).
  • Create visually compelling landscape and site plans, focusing on sustainable and functional design solutions.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure alignment between design concepts and project execution.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to inform and refine designs.
  • Incorporate plant knowledge into design layouts for optimal aesthetics and functionality.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce high-quality renderings and technical drawings.
  • Maintain a strong focus on eco-friendly and sustainable design principles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Degree or background in Civil Engineering/Design, Landscape Architecture, or a related field (Non-Negotiable).
  • Extensive AutoCAD experience (3D skills not required but a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of plant materials and their application in landscape design.
  • Experience in land development and commercial design-build (no residential or homeowner interaction).
  • Familiarity with civil design principles and techniques.
  • Strong illustration and rendering skills to effectively communicate design concepts.
  • Portfolio demonstrating creative commercial design work, particularly neighborhood entrances and land development projects.
  • Ability to work primarily in-office (approximately 70% office-based, 30% client-facing).
