Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Events & Activations Manager to lead the execution of engaging arts & entertainment experiences at a future large scale development.

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with experience in managing diverse arts & entertainment event programming and who is experienced in contract negotiations, event production and a passion for networking. Strategic Outreach

  • Cultivate meaningful partnerships with the arts, music, and cultural communities by actively networking with event promoters, producers, and creatives to develop collaborative opportunities that enhance programming and elevate the property’s reputation as a premier cultural destination
  • Work with Management team and execute a comprehensive strategy for activations, events, and placemaking that aligns with the property’s vision and goals.
  • Tour and negotiate with potential event prospects to secure engaging and innovative programming.
  • Implement creative placemaking initiatives to activate underutilized spaces, enhance pedestrian experiences, and reflect the property’s artistic identity.
  • Work with Management team to reach out to targeted list of prospects and identify event opportunities, to enhance the property’s appeal as a cultural and entertainment destination.
  • Foster relationships with local businesses, community groups, and stakeholders to ensure inclusivity and cultural relevance in programming. Incorporate community feedback to continually refine programming and placemaking efforts.
  • Oversee the execution of unique, high-quality events and activations, including live music, art exhibitions, immersive experiences, markets, and seasonal festivals.
  • Oversee sound and visual production to ensure all technical elements meet professional standards and enhance the audience experience.

Operations & Logistics

• Understanding of city codes and ordinances, pull special events permits and ensure in compliance of city codes

  • Develop and manage security logistics for all events, ensuring attendee safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Put together contracts and ensure COI’s are collected prior to commencement of work
  • Coordinate with production teams, security staff, and vendors to streamline operations and maintain smooth event execution
  • Build a network of reliable vendors, contractors, and production teams to support event operations
  • Coordinate seamlessly with logistics teams to manage loading, unloading, and on-site operations, ensuring smooth execution and minimal disruptions
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and operational standards across all event types.

 

Financials

• Analyze event performance, generating reports on attendance, ticketing, engagement, and financial outcomes to guide future programming

  • Understanding of current market comps for event venue pricing negotiations
  • Create financial reports including projected revenue, budgets and timelines while maintaining high-quality events within allocated budgets

 

Marketing & Partnerships

• Partner with the marketing team to promote events and activations through digital campaigns, social media, and creative channels.

• Build sponsorship and partnership opportunities with local and national brands to support event funding and expand reach.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in Event Management, Large Conference Management, Arts Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event planning, activations, or placemaking at venues hosting diverse music, art, and immersive events.
  • Proven experience in sound and visual production management.
  • Expertise in event security logistics and crowd management.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in budgeting, vendor management, and event logistics
  • Knowledge of current trends in arts, music, and immersive entertainment.
  • Experience working with artists, curators, and cultural organizations.
