Position Overview:

The Pharmacist is responsible for consulting with qualified patients and caregivers and administering approved medical marijuana products. The Pharmacist serves as the Company's "Clinical Director" for our dispensaries in the state of Maryland and assist customers and patients understand any and all drug interacactions, possible side effects, potential counter indications and the differing strengths and effects of medical cannabis. This position requires that the incumbent maintain an active state pharmacist license and certifies as the Clinical Director for the MD business.

Schedule: Full Time

\n

Location: May be based out of any of our three MD dispensaries with a preference for Frederick, MD.

\n

Major Areas of Responsibility include:

\n

\n
• Ensuring compliance with all State Medical Marijuana Program rules and regulations governing the Act including dispensary staff training and education.
\n
• Clinical directors are responsible for educating qualifying patients and caregivers in the following areas:\n
  \n
  • Potential drug-to-drug interactions, including interactions with alcohol, prescription drugs, non-prescription drugs, and supplements;
  \n
  • Possible side effects or contraindications of medical cannabis use;
  \n
  • The potential for differing strengths and effects of medical cannabis strains; and
  \n
  • Different methods, forms, and routes of medical cannabis administration.

• Clinical directors are responsible for training dispensary agents on the following:
\n
• \n
  \n
  • Guidelines for providing information to qualifying patients related to risks, benefits, and side effects associated with medical cannabis;
  \n
  • Recognizing signs and symptoms of substance abuse; and
  \n
  • Guidelines for refusing to provide medical cannabis to an individual who appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):

\n

\n
• All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
\n

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in the pharmaceutical sciences; Pharm. D. preferred.
\n
• An active license in good standing without restrictions.
\n
• Satisfactory completion of the State Medical Use of Marijuana CME designation.
\n
• Familiarity with computers.
\n
• Recent experience (within the last 5 years) with patient-oriented drug delivery systems and a passion for patient care and service delivery.

Additional Abilities Required:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time, use hands to perform manual tasks, and lift or move up to 10 pounds (or more with assistance). Must be able to speak and communicate verbally with co-workers, customers, vendors, etc. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

FLSA status: Exempt (Full Time)

Pay: We anticipate this position's salary range between $120K and $125K based on experience, skills and certifications.

\n
