Together, we will build something truly remarkable that will resonate with customers worldwide and stand the test of time.About the Role:As a Senior Food Scientist at Feastables, you will play a crucial role in the development and commercialization of innovative and high-quality food products. Reporting to the Technical Manager of Product Development, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain, to deliver seamless integration of product formulations into our product launches and supply chain processes. We're looking for an expert with strong confectionery technical and CPG commercialization experience, best in class communication skills, and a passion for delivering quality through collaboration.What You'll Be Doing:Develop and implement innovative food product formulations that enhance customer experiences, and align with Feastables' brand valuesLead product commercialization from idea to market, working crossfunctionally as a Technical Leader and product expert Development and implementation of product specifications, standards, and guidelines in conjunction with FSQA partnersWork cross-functionally on rapid consumer test product needs, lead rapid internal prototype development and sample production Manage product trials and first productions on site at comanufacturers, with the need to travel- capturing all formulations and process flowsIndependently manage relationships with co-manufacturers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materialsProcess-Oriented problem solving and awareness to mitigate risks for product commercialization including across co-man networks and variable equipment linesRecipe for Success:5-7+ years of experience in food science roles, preferably in Confectionery CPGProven track record of developing and implementing successful food product formulations with a strong focus on commercializationHands on Experience working with confectionery materials and creating prototypes at lab scalePreference for Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.Strong knowledge of food product development, commercialization processes, and testing methodologiesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environmentExceptional organizational and project management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and Google WorkspaceStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to live anywhere, preferably in Chicago, with the need for travelTravel Expectations: approximately 50% with some international Prior startup experience is a plusWhy Feastables?We value experience.
