Expected salary range of $180,900 to $201,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Provide overall management of the engineering function of accountability. As responsibility increases within the organization, hours of work may increase proportionally.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • The role is a Senior Manager of Design Engineering, responsible for large capital projects including plant reliability, power uprates, and or plant improvement modifications. 
  • Provide management, governance and oversight of the engineering function of accountability with respect to the needs and regulatory requirements of the nuclear fleet.
  • Manage the performance and development of assigned engineering personnel relative corporate objectives and provide focus on the attainment of high-quality engineering results
  • Participate as key manager in Business Planning, Budget and Business Performance review of Engineering. Fulfill managerial responsibilities regarding assigned staff (e.g., Employment, Development, compensation, Performance Evaluation, etc.) Ensures consistent and effective work force practices.
  • Directly and through subordinates, fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact fleet operations.
  • Participate as senior resource to Nuclear-wide programs and initiatives regarding standardized and enhanced engineering systems and processes

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor&rsquos degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) or related science OR must meet equivalency as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.1.1.1 & 4.1.1.2) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
  • 10 years overall experience, which includes 4 years power plant, 1 year nuclear power plant experience and 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience
  • Active SRO license, inactive SRO license, SRO certification or plant operational knowledge consistent with the requirements of the engineering manager&rsquos job
  • Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.3.8) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
  • Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MS in technical discipline, MBA or Professional Engineering Registration
  • SRO license or Certification
