Basin Upfitting is Salt Lake City, Utah & Boise, Idaho’s fleet service provider, specializing in commercial truck and van equipment upfitting. From ladder racks to truck beds and van shelving, Basin Upfitting delivers top-quality equipment and exceptional customer service to meet all fleet needs.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Level 1,2 &3 Truck / van tech at Basin Upfitting located in Boise, Idaho. The truck tech will work under the direction of the Shop Supervisor to complete the installation of specialty van and truck equipment such as service utility bodies, stake bodies, dump bodies, hitches, and other commercial truck accessories.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety protocols
• Install truck bodies, plows, and commercial truck accessories.
• Mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, and other components.
• Utilize basic welding skills (preferred but not required).
• Work alongside experienced mechanics for training and skill development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.

Qualifications:

• Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with welding, electrical wiring, and hydraulic systems is a plus.
• Ability to safely operate power tools and other shop equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
